I feel like life has been a whirlwind for the past 2 months. I know I have posted occasionally, but it is the 12 of January and no mention of Christmas?
Not even a Christmas letter was sent this year. It hasn't happened for the last few years. It seems to me that if you don't do it one year and it is even easier to just not do it the next year! I think the last letter or picture card we sent for Christmas must have been the year Grace was born. Does that tell you what an effect Grace has had in my life!
I contemplated writing one for the blog, but it would entail all the details already posted on the blog. So, scrap that idea. So, to those handful of you out there who read our blog, that sent Christmas Cards/Pictures, Thanks! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
Someday, all our friends of days gone by, might actually hear from us at Christmas!
Over all Christmas was crazy and great time! How can you have both? Very easy, in my world!
For the second year in a row we have gone with a group of friends from church up to the Forrest (with our passes) and have chosen and cut down our own Christmas tree! It is such a fun family time! The whole day is just fun!
The Sunday after school got out for winter break, the kids and I headed up to Bellevue to visit my mom and sisters. We just hung out with Grandma, did crafts, and went through old boxes. My family is a family of 'SAVERS'. That is the nice term for it! I can say that cause I'm one of them! But, amazing things happen in 'SAVER' families! During one lunch we were talking about palindromes (i think) and it took us to a story of my moms, from before she was married. Which then took us to her 'box' of treasures. We found the item that went with the story and many other treasures! She had her 'bandalo' from primary days, all of her Young Women books (from the 40's), her two baby books (she was the first, her mom was over zealous, like all us first time mom's!) Inside her baby books were poems her daddy, by Grandpa McKell, had written for her or about her! TREASURES!!!! It was an amazing day! I love treasures! I treasure the time I'm able to spend with my mom, finding treasures!
On Tuesday, we headed back home, with Grandma in tow! She was coming to spend Christmas with us! (we hadn't had Christmas with my mom, since our first year in Vancouver) Christmas Eve was spend with almost the whole Perkins family. It was a crazy, crowed place at Grandma Grandpa Perkins house. Christmas day we had a 'Rose Family' Christmas dinner, and my Brother, Karl, came over. The kids love it when he visits!
The 26th my baby turned 3 years old! I can't believe it has been three years! She has grown so much! She is such a Joy and Pain in the Neck all at the same time! We love her and life would definatly not be as much fun without her! To celebrate her Birthday we went bowling with all the Perkins People! We had so much fun! Grace even bowled! There were 27 of us there hording 5 lanes! After, we went out to God Fathers Pizza Buffet for lunch! We brought lots if mini PINK cupcakes to celebrate! Grace is Princess and tom-boy all rolled into one amazing little spitfire of a Sweetheart!
The 3 year old Birthday Girl! (the little number she is wearing use to be my favorite dress ever! she loves dressing up in it!)
The next day Blake and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary by . . . . .
I know you are all dying to know............

GOING TO CHURCH!!!!
I know we are the total party animals!!! We had been planning that one for years! And saving $$ for quite some time!
Someday, we will celebrate! Maybe a nice cruise, or a trip to Mexico, or Hawaii, heck even a trip to disneyland would thrill me. But as for now, we'll be happy spending our anniversary going to Church!
On the 28th we said goodbye to Grandma Rose, and she was able to take a nice relaxing train ride back to her home. And we headed for our Perkins Family Reunion in Lincoln City, Oregon!
We stayed in a great home a block from the beach, that was perfect for our large family! Private rooms for all the grown-ups, large game room for the kids, a room for all the boys (all 9 were able to sleep there and everyone had a bed!) and a room for the girls! Huge great room area, 2 large tables with room that we could all eat, and be seated at the same time! It was an awesome find! Thanks for all your hard work Tiffini, you are AWESOME!!!!
The older I get the more I like just hanging out with family. It was great!
I was ready for the kids to go back to school! I love them and had a wonderful winter break, but routine is a good thing! It is good to be back to Routine! I, however, can't wait till the next break, so we can get out of routine, and relax and just play!
I think that sounds funny, but, it is true. A balance in all things!

I want to have a Perkins family party too. Me, jealous? No...okay maybe a little! Glad you had such a great time.
We enjoyed visiting with you guys and being a part of Grace's birthday. Playing is fun and getting back into a routine is good too. Hope you get that anniversary trip in sometime. I know I hope to do one of those exciting things someday.
The pictures are great! I can't believe Grace is 3...and her hair is getting so long. They all grow so fast, don't they?
I love the Princess Gracie picture! Priceless!
