The rest of the Summer:

We returned home and our daddy was already back!  We were oh so glad to see him!!!!

The next few days Emily spent getting ready for Girls Camp!

Spencer went to Cub Scout Day Camp for the first time that same week.  I joined him on Tuesday, my first time at Cub Scout Day Camp too! (Blake has always been able to take time off and go, but with him just getting back to the office after being gone for 2 weeks, I was the lucky one this year!  I had a great time!)  Spencer had a wonderful time, a very dirty time, but that's what makes half the fun!

That must be the "I'm a crazy rabid bat-girl coming home from girls camp' look!
Emily enjoyed her second year at Girls Camp, and came home with some great stories to tell!  My least favorite being that of a BAT in the cabin!!!  BAT=RABIES!!!  Maybe I should say 'unknown bat', or 'un-captured bat'.  A few weeks after Camp the CDC let all the girls know it would be in the girls best interest if they were to receive the rabies vaccination.  I always say better to vaccinate than DIE from Rabies!!!  We visited our friendly ER up at Legacy Salmon Creek 4 times, and now we have even better stories to tell!  We just love our Rabid Bat Girl!  But are so glad for it to be done!!!!!
Blake went up to help at our wards Scout Camp.  They do awesome things for those boys!  Blake was to be up there over night and teach a merit badge.  He decided to bring Ryan (he'll be up there next year anyways!) to experience the fun, and he came home with the merit badge too!

Ryan also went to 11 year old scout day camp.  He had a great time and came home with a merit badge or two.  It is so fun to see him progress in Scouting!

We spent many days at the river, hanging out, playing in the sand and water, and just enjoying our sunshine!!!!

The boys love to dig and dig!  They made a tunnel under the sand, and boy were they dirty!

Cute little dirty tunnel feet!
On the 13th of August (I know it was a Friday, and all the hype about Friday the 13th, but you have to know that in our family 13 is a great number!!!  Blakes b-day is the 13th, he turned 13 on Friday the 13th, the last 2 numbers in our address is 13.  We just like 13 all around!!!) Emily got Braces!!!  (as I'm writing this I realized even funnyier is that Emily is 13!  Hee Hee Hee!)
I Love this picture!  Isn't it amazing how far lips will go!  It was fun to watch the whole process, I documented almost every minute!!!  Can you say Torture??!!
I love that Brace Face!

My sister Ruth and her 3 kids came to visit for a few days the last full week in August!  We took them on a hike at Round lake, but we went down to the waterfalls.  We had fun getting wet!!!  We also took them to our favorite spot at the River!  It was great to have them down, and just have fun together hanging out!!!!
Leslie, Emily, M or M, Caleb, Grace and Aunt Ruth!
The last weekend before school started we went camping to Lake Merwin with some friends!  We had a great time!  The kids loved every minute!  It was definitely a great end to our summer!

And that is the rest of the summer!
