Boise!

While our daddy was off in Wisconsin for 2 long weeks being a Air National Guard guy, we decided to take a week and visit our Boise family! With the day drive there and home, that left us with 3 days to play with our family!
It was good to get away from home and single parent life. I mean, I was still single parent, just with other adults around to converse with. And other children around so my sweets could be entertained by someone other than ME!
We got to my sister Cindy's home after 8 sometime, and had ice cream around 1o! What a way to start vacation! I am normally very rigid about bedtimes at home, put me on vacation as the only parent and all the rules go out the window! We love to visit Cindy, we can just hang out and have so much fun together!
We visited my brother's family who had recently moved from Ohio to Nampa during the day on Tuesday. (With them living in Ohio for the past 5 years and us here we haven't had much time to visit, ever, ok maybe a day 3 years ago!) The kid had fun meeting and playing. I kid you not, I have this one Nephew who I swear was just in diapers who is now going to be a senior in High School! (Last time we really just got to hang out with my brother Marks family was when Blake and I were still at the 'Y'!) It was great to interact with them all and get to know their fun personalities! I think there will be many more trips to NAMPA!!! On the way back to Meridian, we stopped off at a water fountain in front of the Nampa Police Station so the kids could cool off. They were the only ones there, so they had the whole place to themselves!
Wednesday we headed over to Blake's sister Tiffini's home. Her family has just moved to the Boise area this summer as well! The kids played and played and played some more, swam in the neighborhood pool, and I got to hold sweet baby Darcy! First time we have met her, we think she is something special!!!
Mallory and Grace had too much fun together!!! Dress up anyone!
Boys and their wii games!
We took a picture as we were getting ready to leave! Notice Grace and Mallory have their hands on their tummies!? They wouldn't keep there hands off their faces, this was the best we could get them to do! I just love 3 year old girls!!
Thursday, we ran to the mall in hopes of finding just the right thing at Downeast Outfitters. I should know by now Shopping is never a pleasant experience. The kids were pretty good, finding what we wanted, not so good! (I HATE SHOPPING!!!) We took the kids to the food court and let them get whatever type of food they wanted (This doesn't happen very often in our family, it was a huge treat!) Then to get over the disappointing shopping trip we headed to a splash park in Meridian. Can I just say AWESOME!!! Of course no pictures were taken, but it was sooo cool! If you are visiting Meridian we highly recommend heading to Settlers Park! (now if I was really smart I would link you up to the web site! but you know me, i'll let you do the work yourself!)(hey! be glad i figured out how to get pictures from the website!)They had a blast and it was a fun way to spend a really super hot afternoon! That evening we headed over to Marks again. This time we got to see Mark as well! I just love spending time with my family! Both Cindy's family and Mark's family are amazing. We had so much fun! We can't wait to visit again, but next time we will bring Blake!
Some how we didn't end up with any pictures of Marks family. My photographer Emily must have been being to shy to take any shots. Next time!
And only two pictures of Cindy's family! Amber (with Spencer)!
and SADIE DOG!!! We love Sadie! We have been playing with Sadie since Ryan was a baby!
Thanks to all my Boise Family for making our trip one to remember!

I love to read your blog and see all the fun pictures. It certainly looks like you had a great time. I especially loved the pictures of Grace and Mallory in dress up clothes. What a pair of princesses. The water fountain looked like a lot of wet fun! We miss you guys sooooo much. Love Grandma and Grandpa

I love looking at your blog and seeing all the great pictures. I especially loved the one of Grace and Mallory dressed up like princesses. Which they are, of course. The pictures at the fountain were great. It looked like a lot of wet fun. We love you soooo much and miss you too.

Sarah,

You asked about our round table--it's actually one my grandpa scooped up from a Chuck E Cheese going out of business (it has orange laminate underneath the grey). Sorry I can't direct you to a source, but I'll see if I can look around and find something similar.
