Wednesday the kids (Emily and Ryan) had a school track meet, where they competed with 3 other elementary schools. The weather was actually pretty good! (last year it was torrential down pour!) Here is a picture of the kids! The students take a school bus over to the high school stadium and the parents come to watch. When we got there our Emily and Ryan were sitting together! (we had to take a picture they were actually getting along!!!!!)

Emily ran the 100 meter, 100 meter hurdles, 400 meter relay, and the running long jump! She is awesome!!! She got 4th, 4th, 5th, and we'll find out later for the long jump. She jumped 6'7" and 6'2". Ok that seems like a lot to me, especially since she is vertically challanged!

The one to the left is of Emily jumping of course! And the one to the bottom is her running. She is in the lane closest to the green! It is hard to see, but if you look really close you can see that both her feet are off the ground! I love that!!!!

Ryan chose to do the Javelin Throw, results to be determined later. It was his first year participating, and hopefully next year he'll want to try some new things! They both did really well and had fun!
Thursday night, was the Elementary 'Pride Night'. We got to go and look at all the cool things and projects the kids have been working on. As well as eat ice cream, served up by our favorite teachers! Also a chance for the 5th graders to strut their marimba playing skills! Our Emily is a marimba master!!! Here is a little clip of her performance! Enjoy!!! We sure did!!!

Wow! How fun for the kiddos!!! Emily is such a talented young lady. I can't wait to see her and get some MAJOR Emily hugs. She's so grown up now. She jumped the height of Alan and that is very impressive!
Ryan is such a ham for the camera! I hope he enjoyed javelin. That event always scares me! Soren is so excited to see him and play and have fun with him.
And of course, we are all excited to see you all. Love you!
