Dogs

I have been meaning to post for some time now, but you know life! It just gets in the way.


2 weeks ago this past friday, our doggie Chole found a new home. It was a tough decission, but it came down to safety of children over love of dog. Chole, was our easy going dog that everyone could get along with. Everyone, but Grace! They were either the best of friends or fighting. Chloe has had quite a few very mean moments with Grace. Unprovoked, just ramdom fits of 'I don't like you so, I'll bite you'. To cut the story short, we have rehomed Chloe.

Maggie is doing pretty good. (we are trying not to give human emotions to our dog!) She loves all the extra attention, she as no one to compete with on walks, so walks are much easier! She still loves to play with other dogs, and loves the dog park. She is extra excited to greet us in the morning after a night alone in the kennel. One dog is easier that two.

We miss our Chloe, but know she is with a good family. We have made the right choice for our family. Grace still asks about Chloe every now and then, we just tell her that Chloe is with her new family.

This experience has even prompted good writing opportunities for Emily! She just finished a piece from Maggies point of view. I might even post it (with Emily's permission of course!)

Someday I'll have to post pictures of all the random toys that Maggie has chewed! She might be a chewer, but she has never lashed out at any of the kids!
