Lovely old saying. It has truly been happening in our home! Shall we count them?
1. Sometime the end of July our computer died. Turns out all we needed was a new hard drive, lucky us ours was still under warranty. So we had to wait for them to mail us a new one. There is new meaning to Snail Mail for us. I swear it took FOREVER!!!!!! Finally when it came and Blake got the computer up and running again, then we found out that our back up stuff Blake does off site didn't exactly work. Can you say AHHHHHH!!! We are slowly getting our computer back to using order.
2. When we came home from Camping (yes, I will post about that! I actually planned on doing that but then the pouring came!) we found out our dishwasher was broken! It no longer functions, no lights, no movement, just DEAD! That was Saturday. Here we are 2 weeks later and we still have no dishwasher. The first week of washing by hand my mom was here, she's really good at doing dishes!!! (Thanks MOM!) We are getting use to the ugly dish drainer sitting on our counter top, and dishes, as long as done right after the meal, are not that bad. Some of you know I grew up with no dish washer, kinda weird I'm putting my kids through the same thing. Only f0r a shorter time. Yes, we will be getting a new dishwasher, but I'm waiting and actually enjoying getting my hands wet!
3. Oh I almost forgot, Caleb started throwing up on the way home from camping and didn't start feeling well for quite some time. I know you are probably going throw up, oh come on that isn't that bad. But come on - in the CAR - all over his blankie. We already had a crazy past 2 days (more on that later) could I really do any more?
4. Sunday, after doing the church swap with Blake(so we could take turns being at home with Caleb) I realized that my Freezer was dripping water! We tried to ignore the fact that our whole Refrigerator/Freezer unit was broken, but by that evening we couldn't let it go any longer. Thank goodness we had never put the coolers away, we just loaded the rest of the food that might keep for another day in the coolers and got some ice. Our garbage the next day was quite full! Blake was able to get a part to fix the fridge at lunch on monday, so by that evening we had a working Refrigerator again!!!! HURRAY for FIX-IT MAN HUSBANDS!!!!
5. Tuesday, I took the kids to the library. We got our books and headed home. The Yukon's 'check tire pressure' light was on. But I just thought, that just happens sometimes! (cause really it happens all the time in the winter) Well, we made it home just fine parked the Yukon in the garage and took our books inside. After we fixed the kids lunch and put Gracey down for a nap. Emily and I headed out for our special 'Daddy, Mommy, Kid before school starts lunch'. We sat in the truck and I noticed it was a bit lopsided, no not a bit, a huge amount lopsided! The front passenger side tire was completely flat!!!! We were glad that Grandma Rose was visiting so we could borrow her car and still meet Blake for our lunch. We didn't have to get new tires!!! We were able to patch it!
When we started talking about the 'Pouring' it seemed like there were more or bigger things. I guess perspective changes with time. After the car/tire problem, things settled down a bit to just normal life. But not for long, last night the computer, yes the one just fixed, started doing weird things!!!! So, now it is up to 'Frank the Computer Guy' to save our computer! I am grateful for a lap top! It would be nice to have the other one up and working- never have gotten quicken working on the laptop! I guess that is the next thing on my list of things to do! Here is to a new school year, sprinkled with all that makes life unpredictable!

YIKES! That is quite the list of broken things! So sorry. I hope your computer gets fixed soon and you get a new dishwasher in the not too distant future!
Ugh, that doesn't sound fun!
Good grief! What a list! Tell Blake I'm proud of his Man Skills. I hope everything else turns right side up for you soon. Wow...
