I should have named the last post 'itchy and witchy' but I didn't think of it until too late! I'm still itchy, but now it is named! I saw the dermatologist today, and after lots of poking and prodding and scraping they have decided I have what is called 'Pityriasis Rosea'. Nice name huh!? The first line on the info papers the dr gave me said "rash of unknown cause which lasts about 6 weeks." I liked the next line that said it most often affects teens and young adults! I must still be considered a young adult!!! WaHoo!!! 35 and still a young adult! Sometimes this pity rose rash follows a few days after a upper respiratory viral infection, I don't even remember having a cold! Don't worry, it is not contagious! It should clear itself up in about 6 to 12 weeks! 3 weeks down how many more to go??? Anyways just thought you'd all want an update as to my itchy status!!! Oh I get to continue with my previous meds and add one more pill to take (just in case any of my scratch wounds turn to staf infection) and a steriod cream to rub on my itchys. Oh I am such a lucky girl!! I have a name to my itchys, yet it still keeps itching!!!!!!! I'll just call it Pity Rose for short! (in case you didn't know my maiden name is Rose, I made a funny!)

glad to know there is an end to the missery in sight. I've been thinking about you for days wondering what the verdict is. Happy itching!
At least it does have an end in sight. Hang in there! The itchies will end eventually.
