Feburary in a Nut Shell!

Is February in a nut shell, cause we're all going nutty waiting for some nice weather??? Think about it!!!

So I will really update and catch up this time! And save before leaving the computer! We started February with a bang! My 35th birthday! (I'm ok with my age but know that I might never get older than 35, we shall see!) I decided to do something totally un-Sarah! I invited a few friends over for lunch to help me celebrate my birthday! (Some of you know sarah=shy=goes to things not plans thing) We had a delicious wonton chicken salad, veggie tray, fruit and rolls. With PBJ for the kiddies! For dessert I decided to get one of my favorites cream puffs filled with bavarian cream! Oh so DIVINE!!!! (no calorie counting on birthdays!) The kiddies got fudge stripped cookies and vacuumed down the whole box before we knew it! It was great to have some friends over! It is definantly something I would like to do again! Maybe a new tradition! I have had some requests for the salad recipe so it will follow!

Wednesday Emily and Ryan stayed home from school sick. YUCK!!! Ryan returned the following day, but Emily hung on for the next 3 days. That was one looooooong sickness!

Sunday the 8th was Caleb's 4th birthday! We celebrated on friday with a friend party! Jungle theme! It was only an hour long, but we have decided that it was a perfect length for or small friends!

On Wednesday the 11th I was able to go with Spencer on a field trip! We went to see the play "Click, Clack, Moo . . . Cows that type!" It was great and it was even more great to spend some one on one time with Spencer! He is so funny! He just lost his two front teeth during the past week, and he is SOOOOO CUTE!!! I just love it when kids have missing teeth!!!!

This past weekend was a 4 day weekend. Emily spent most of friday practicing with the dance team. They had a competition at Union (her future HS) on Saturday. Saturday morning they had to be at their school to practice at 6:30 am! But all their practice paid off! They won first place for their lyrical routine (again) and they also won first place for their Hip Hop routine!!!! (for middle schools of course!) It was awesome!!! We tried taping it this time, so enjoy our dancer!

ready for their hip hop routine
Ready to go home after a long, but Good day!

hip hop routine! lyrical routine!
Remember Emily is the tiniest one!

With Saturday/Valentine's day being overtaken by compatition we decided to celebrate for the kids on Sunday. We did our traditional treasure hunt, but this year there was a twist! They had to solve my clues AND do JOBS! (Ok it was sunday so they weren't that heavy of jobs, but they did have to clean up the playroom to solve one of their clues) We had fun!!! I think I have as much fun planning and writing the clues as they do searching and solving!

Your February sounds very busy indeed.

Ok, so I feel like a total dork, because I seriously teared up when little Emily was lifted and carried during the lyrical dance and I could hear you yelling for you baby girl! So precious! WOOOOOOOOOO Emily!!!!!
